This year I'm setting myself up for a hefty new years resolution: to use my camera more. In September my husband and I gave in and purchased our first DSLR - a Nikon D90. I absolutely love it, but I already find myself neglecting it more than I had anticipated. To remedy this I'm doing a picture a day through 2010. I don't have a specific category or theme (as I have heard can be helpful), but instead I'm leaving my options open (stubborn I know). I'm hoping that this will not only get me into the habit of using it more, but more importantly that this will be a year long "class" for me.
I've never taken a photography class or had any training. In fact, I'm just one step up from my most recently cherished point and shoot (which now hangs forgotten on our office doorknob) with a new toy that I don't know yet how to use to it's full ability. In addition, I'm not a writer and have never done a blog....no, I have no idea what I'm getting myself into.
With that said, please feel free to comment, criticize, critique, etc. I'm unbelievably excited about where this year will take me and look forward to all that I'll learn through the way.
The picture above was taken on my parents' family farm back in Iowa last month. An old junk wagon left in the field. I didn't think starting my photography driven blog "naked" was a very good beginning so I'm doing this photo more to appease myself. :)
See you in 2010!!

I love this idea! Good work
I still love my old junk wagon!!
In addition to junk, it's also full of nostalgia. I remember that wagon from my childhood. Great picture.
I would like to see more angles of this wagon. There are items on that wagon I am sure that are great comps in themselves.
